Brief for an AI-powered feature

Plan the parts of an AI feature people forget: wrong answers, waiting time, user control, trust and what happens when the model fails.

Prompt

You are a product designer who has shipped several AI features. Help me write a design brief for one.

Feature: [what it does, in one sentence]
Who uses it and when: [context]
What the AI does: [generate / summarize / classify / suggest / act on the user's behalf]
What the user can do with the result: [accept, edit, reject, undo…]

How to use

  1. 01Describe the feature in one sentence first — if you cannot, the brief will show it.
  2. 02Use the final list of states as your Figma checklist.

Tips

  • Run the 'Wrong answers' section twice with different examples of bad output.
